
Fools Onion Catering and Professional Chef Service is owned and operated by Kristine Kager and Lance Bailey.
In 1985 Kristine began her cooking career while attending high school in the Puget Sound area. Working in a small family run deli instilled a passion for food in Kristine that would eventually lead to the creation of Fools Onion Catering. In 1987 Kristine moved to Bellingham and began her undergraduate studies at Western Washington University. At night she could be found cooking in some of Bellingham’s most popular restaurants including Pepper Sisters, Milanos, and the Calumet which is where she would meet her husband and soon to be business partner Lance Bailey.
Lance Bailey began his cooking career in 1993 during a one-year traveling excursion throughout Europe. Upon his return to the U.S. he immediately enrolled in culinary studies at Le Cordon Bleu in Portland Oregon. In 1995 Lance returned to Bellingham where he began a seven-year culinary career in such local restaurants as the Calumet, and the Harborside Bistro at the Hotel Bellwether.
In February 2002, with a combined foundation of 24 years of culinary experience, Kristine and Lance opened Fools Onion Catering and Professional Chef Service. |
